SCHOOL PROFILE

Lowell Elementary School offers challenging academic programs for all students.  Involvement in the state-sponsored C.L.A.S.S. project has provided training to teachers which enables them to help students learn more effectively.

Lowell students have worked together since 1994 to develop an Outdoor Classroom Project, which inlcudes several outdoor learning environments including a pond, walking trail, prairie, garden plots, butterfly garden, herb garden, and individual classroom garden project.  A log cabin was completed in August, 1999 with the help of volunteers and community members, including a local unit of the National Guard.
