At this time of year, Girl Scouts are knocking on doors selling cookies to receive different awards. Ella Qualkenbush, a Lowell second grader, is not only selling cookies to help the Girl Scouts but also to help another group, LifeBridge Community, a non-profit group that provides services to underprivileged families. Ella plans to sell 2,000 boxes of cookies so she could receive the top prize, a lap top, and donate it to Lifebridge. As Ella and her mom discussed the idea further, Ella decided that should she win other prizes such as a room improvement kit, Kings Island tickets, pillow/blanket kits, etc., they would be donated as well. Good Luck to Ella and her Brownie troop with their cookie sales and for helping the community.
